Established in 2009, Greenpolly was founded by Dave Salmon, who derived the name from his first invention to save energy wastage in kettles and that famous nursery rhyme; Polly put the kettle on.

Although the invention for the kettle remains on the back burner, Dave retained his determination and in 2010, he invented the Boiler Buoy, which was well-received in the plumbing industry and brought to market within a year. He continues to develop innovative products under the Greenpolly brand including the UK manufactured Roof Toof and BS5534 tested Roof Tingle.
